The DOJ recently updated their messaging app policy to refine their earlier prohibition on such apps. Companies are no longer expected to prohibit employees from using ephemeral messaging, but instead are required to implement appropriate guidance and controls over these types of platforms and communications. In the age of BYOD, however, this has proved to be practical nightmare. The financial sector has already seen settlements in the billions of dollars in this area. So how do we comply?
